Why is kayaking scientific ?

I think kayaking is a scientific activity because when you kayak you are floating on top of the water and that is gravity.  You also move with the flow of the water in the river which is motion.  Underneath the water are all kinds of fish, shells, and even bacteria - gross.  I think these are things that marine biologists study.  Another scientific part of kayaking is that it involves staying balanced in your kayak, and let me tell you that is not easy.  If you are not careful you can end up going backwards or sideways when you do not paddle correctly or in sync with your partner.   There is also science in kayaking when your kayak hits rocks.  That kind of crash is scientific because it involves motion and force.  I know that when a kayak hits a rock it can feel like a big shock wave goes through your body, but not as bad as a car crash.  So, in conclusion I believe there are many scientific parts to kayaking on a river.

Scintific Summer

Summer

I had a great time this summer with my friends and family. We did all sorts of things like swim and go to amusement parks.  I also spent some time at home just watching TV and reading.   Of all the things I did this Summer, I liked going kayaking in France with my brother, uncle, aunt, and cousin the best.   It was so much fun we went twice.  The first time it was great because my aunt and I did not tip over our kayak or hit any rocks.  The second time I went kayaking with my brother I was not so lucky.  We hit almost every rock in sight on the Orb River and were lucky not to tip our kayak over a hundred times.  By the end of our second kayaking trip, we only tipped over once.   We tipped over when we hit a big rock that had bees all over it.  Marshall leaned out of the kayak to push away from the rock and the boat tipped over.   My brother thought it was funny when we tipped over at first.  But, then he got mad and said I jumped out of the boat.  I do not think so.  I was so shocked when we fell in the river and I could hardly breath.  Then I found out that my helmet strap was choking me.  I quickly fixed my helmet strap and grabbed our paddles before they floated away downstream.   My brother tipped the kayak back over.  This was not easy because we were in the middle of rocky rapids.  Oh well, I have to say I had more fun on the second kayaking trip.  The coolest thing that happened on the second trip was we found a message in a bottle.  I also saw all kinds of fish that were like a green color.  In conclusion, during kayaking I went through some rough times, but had a lot of fun and would love to go kayaking again.
